Why get Antibody testing before Lasers

The Texas Medical Board currently requires this protocol for all elective procedures (including surgeries, since cautery is involved). Lasers and cautery release viral and skin particles into the air (aka plume), despite the best suction, so performing laser treatments potentially endanger my staff, and any person entering the office. So, in consideration for others’ health, Innate Beauty and the Texas Medical Board have this requirement for surgeries and laser procedures during this time of uncertainty. 

The antibody test shows if you have been exposed or could potentially be an asymptomatic carrier of COVID. Your physician should know that this is part of the pre-op workup for any elective surgery at this time…so should be able to order the test for you. Additionally, many locations now offer the antibody test, for free in some cases. The PCR test is for those currently having symptoms (and you should be quarantining if this is happening).  If you do test positive for either, please notify us, as we need to take some extra precautions.
